First cousins Raymond Jones and Dahoud Smith found a middle ground and is working together in long distance collaboration, as Raymond and the Durty Crew are recording the poetic words into lyrics and music known as Rap, taking an East Coast swing and giving it some Dirty South slang.  Raymond Jones and Dahoud’s mother Egeria Jordan are in talks with Black Doll owned by Janet Jackson, to arrange these recording sessions to insure professional results in a studio located in South Carolina.  Raymond originally from the infamous Queensbridge, that produced artists such as NAS, Mob Deep and Noriega and Capone and producers Marly Marl who produced the Queensbridge  anthem and LES is working out of the South as Dahoud represents the Lower East Side (The LES) of New York City.

 

This project is projected to be released in the mid 2010 and will be introduced to the world by Janet Jackson, as Janet starts to sign other artist to her production company, as for distribution all the activities have not been disclosed, but as Dahoud told me we have big plans.  A few songs were recorded and mastered and I heard some of them and they are exciting and messaged filled, perhaps this is Dahoud’s redemption.  Raymond says, “I think Dahoud will be the next big thing in rap.”  Will 50 Cent, Jay Z and Eminem have to make room for new chart toppers, maybe not I mean Rick Ross and Kenya West is on a strong run and the message of the PTS Underground  is like night and day as they are not spiritual in genre they are out to save lives and curb criminal behavior in the black community, with a gangster twist only real gangsters can submit.  They are not all talk but paid for their actions on the streets of the past.

Janet Jackson album is to be released in 2010 and she is currently in the process of writing songs for the project.  What surprised me is that she is open to the use of material by new songwriters and not just writers with name recognition.  In particular there is this songwriter/Hip Hop artist named Dahoud Smith who put together some smoker lyrics and poems, that many have been put together with tight music and the result were spectacular.  Black Doll is in the process of attempting to have this stuff heard by industry leaders.

 

But not so fast, Janet is considering using some of this stuff for herself, she like all who auditioned Dahoud works found him to be a man of vision, on top of contemporary issues and touches the heart as he explains from experience how crime does not pay.  I am not going to giveaway any of his works at this time, but trust me the guy is talented, and who better to do some of his works than Janet.  Also Janet is in talks with Alicia Keys.

 

Dahoud may not get out of prison before his music hits the airwaves but he may be home soon enough and the Hip Hop/ Rap industry might have to make room for a new kingpin represented the LES (Lower Eastside) of New York City.  Dahoud R. Smith AKA Dahuzi will be in coming out soon.

On one level you are prepared to accept that everyone is deserving of love and respect. On another level though, you cannot help noticing that some people seem more deserving than others. It’s okay to discriminate. You’ll be doing plenty of it this year.

Lunar eclipses tend to make people say and do silly things, and as the approaching eclipse cuts across the most sensitive angle of your chart you may not be in control of your reactions during the early part of the week. Forgive yourself if you go over the top.

This morning my concern is not that love and respect deserved by all people; it is something that is earned.  Some people are loved who are undeserving by the grace of God and not by their merits.  So I do not accept that everyone deserves love and respect, but that a husband should love his wife and his wife should respect him.  But you have some people who are totally selfish and are still loved, but not because they deserve it, but through the grace of God.  It is the way of the Lord to love even those undeserving at times.  I have the right to put my wife first, because we are one and self love is the most important love, you cannot love others until you learn to love yourself. (In a loving and caring relationship)

 

Talking about going over the top you are a little too late, I went off yesterday, I told Janet I was tired and she ran some crap by me, but after I took a nap I was able to think clearly and get back on course.  And a wonderful thing happened yesterday, Live Nation begun talks with Janet on giving her an independent record label, which is what I wanted from the beginning, however I am concerned with distribution and promotions, Live Nation and Clear Channel Communication has to be committed to the promotions and distribution of her recorded material.  I want to use this outlet to bring the family back together, she has to let go of the past and focus on the future and get back to the basics and put family first.  I want the contract to be multi tier dealing with musical sound recordings, live shows touring and movies and on the top of the list is the Apostle Screenplay.

 

I think it would be a beautiful thing if we can sign Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, the Jackson Five; Dahuad D Smith (Da-Hu-Zi) he is just getting out of prison and has a lot to share and his gift is his pen.  I want Janet to buy about 1,000 beats from normal people at fair prices, between me and my nephew Raymond we have about 400 beats alone.  I just hope Janet uses this opportunity in the correct way and unite the broken family and then reach out without discrimination.  I will close this letter with these scriptures.

I think this is where Janet and Michael went wrong, especially Janet, we have to get back the basics and come back together.  And I believe God is providing her a way to do this through Live Nation.  “We must once again put Family first!”  I think Live Nation would delighted by this, they have to see to profits to come.

Don’t try so hard to be the best at everything this year. Everyone knows you’ve got what it takes, so you really don’t have to prove yourself. If anything, others should be proving themselves to you. Cultivate an air of superiority over the next 12 months.

 

As mind planet Mercury moves back into the hopes and wishes area of your chart today you should have a clearer idea of what it is you want to accomplish. You may not be able to make a start on it yet but you can start making plans.

I have my plans for 2009; I might be a couple of weeks behind schedule at the most, because I wanted to start my screenplay modifications in March 2009 which will happen but in the second part of it, I planned to start the month with the screenplay changes.  It is taking more time than I anticipated changing over the studio from one computer to the other newer model and it is killing my wallet, I have to get paid for some of this stuff.

Hopefully they will let my nephew out of prison and he would be of great help; I would not mind sharing credits with him, he is family, I plan to put him on anyway.  Yesterday I think I misspelled his name which is Dahaud and not Dahuad; in any case I believe it means David.  I want someone who can make a difference to take an interest in his case.  I do not regret him going to prison behind music; because it got a few people killed he survived.  Prison actually preserved him, but now I think he will channel his ambitions properly.  Personally I think he is ready to be freed, I think he is very talented and has something to share with the world, because of where he has been, but like many great musical talents I think he might be full of shit.

Let us ask the question; is a musical ingenious screwed up in the head or is it that they have the ability to express themselves and they are the expression of a screwed up world?  I think it is the latter; they are crazy to the world because they express what they experience so well and the lives for most of them have been bad experiences.  Like I said, I got screwed in a homeless shelter, Dahaud got screwed over in prison, but I also said Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson got screwed on Hollywood Boulevard; however a bad experience is a bad experience and when you express this well people see you are abnormal, but they are not any different, they just put the more visible on a high pedestal.  People do crazy things but when you express these things they say you are crazy but actually you are saying that they are crazy that I must express this madness as an artist.

A Sun-Mercury union on your birthday means you are one of those lucky people who are completely free from doubt. Your views and opinions may change from day to day but you are always right and those who disagree with you are always wrong.

You need to create some breathing space for yourself, if only to make sense of all those strange thoughts that is swirling around inside your head. Don’t worry if it feels as if you are losing touch with reality – it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

I am tied up transferring this studio for one computer to another.  I am not going to go into details but trust me.  The new computer is all I expected to be minus I had to upgrade the soundcard.  I do not know if I will go back to dual monitor because it is fun running two computers simultaneously.  I have to start getting paid for my studio work because the investment is too high not to get a small return.  I hope they let my nephew out of prison, he served enough time and I think he would be very helpful to me he is very talented.  I do not know if he is full of shit or really feel the shit he writes but it is touching.

I will be installing programs mostly VST and VSTi this week and worry about the functionality later, because I will have to contact the venders as I go along, at the time my contact is Steinberg, next will probably be Propellerhead if I cannot figure out the setting problems.  The soundcard is functional and I can sometimes get sound out of the program but sometimes I cannot.  There is an obvious problem.  Maybe it is my custom setup, because I did it before I installed samples so there is no sound due an empty rack, I do not know!

So Janet (Jackson) is about to go back on the road, I really would like for her and Michael (Jackson) to team up on the road it would be very exciting and almost fail proof.  Actually I think Janet will do fine alone if she gets her momentum going, her tour started out fine, but she got sick and instead of postponing a bunch of dates at one time to recover she took her fans for a ride and consumer confidence and the poor economy did not help the situation.

With President Obama’s new stimulus plan there is no better time to begin touring, the system will circulate money but businesses have to create options for people to spend and earn the money being circulated.  The country has to go into an activation mode in 2009 for President Obama’s plan to work.  People have to live in the now and not the past and be willing to work, be consumers and borrow wisely.

I think a big industry of 2009 will be the home studio industry, music software is huge.  I think music software and computer generated music will become what owning a musical instrument was for me as a child.  As kids we all wanted to be like the Jackson Five, playing the Ohio Players, Earth, Wind and Fire, Slave, Brass Construction and the list goes on, now kids want to do P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Hip Hop and R&B and a lot of this is done in computer generated studios and not studios with a bunch of musicians..  I still think Janet and Michael should have introduced the V-MIDI device I thought up, whereby you play music through a microphone instead of a MIDI keyboard.  We need new products and people with imaginations to design new things from these ideas.  People are getting tired of purchasing MP-3 Players and Phones over and over come up with something new to do.  The condition of the economy is in the minds of the people, it is what we believe it is we have to think positive and work, spend and invest in new ideas.

I do not know what to tell you, but my nephew has been in prison a long time behind bullshit. He was just a kid who had big ideas and wanted to make it in the music industry at a time when it cost thousands of dollars to go to a recording studio.  My understanding is that he was a hustler, too big for his own good, but made no money he just got a lot of time.

 

He is not coming home to a mansion just yet, but he has a lot of family that is concerned with him being release, what it been 15 years?  Give the dude a break man.  He deserves a chance to live outside the walls of incarceration.  I know you know who I am and may not like my style and than maybe you admire me, but this is not about me.  It is about someone doing stupid time behind stupid shit and enough is enough, personally I think he deserves clemency but parole will do it will keep him honest.

 

What can I do for him?  Only time will tell, however if he is really interested in music, as I stated his love for music got him where he is because he went about it all wrong. The meek will inherit the earth and not the impatient.  But I think he learned a valuable lesson, but we have to let the bird out of the cage so he can grow into a man.  He spent close to half of his life in prison and that is sad.

 

I will give him Acid Pro 6 Digital Audio Workstation by Sony, and Edirol 61 key MIDI Keyboard controller, my sister is putting a computer together to be music studio compatible. It will be a Pentium 4, with 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB Hard Drive, he has to buy his own loops, for copyright purposes and laws I cannot give him mine’s.  Plus I will give him an 8 track recording studio for portability.  The bottom line is we will build him a home studio.  I know the programs he will need; he will not have to learn like me through trial and error.

 

I understand he will have an income because of the amount of time he spent in prison in the form of SSI.  I will try to help him find part time work so he can pursue his dreams as a musical artist/producer and I am pretty good at this shit and will take time out to teach him the ropes of Virtual Studios, in fact I would like to work with him.  Give my nephew a break man!  Excuse the French but I am being real with you!
